Rule summary

  • No Advertising: No posts or comments that discuss selling design/related services at a cost, or posts where you are looking for paid services from community members. Additionally, posts which direct users to visit a published site you've created, unless it's for reasonable troubleshooting, are not permitted.
  • All posts must be directly related to Wix.: No posts that aren't directly related to Wix or our products. We will remove posts that are only vaguely related to Wix.
  • No NSFW, Offensive, Harassing, or Inflammatory Language.: Be Civil, No rude, harassing or inflammatory comments. Follow Reddit's rules of etiquette.
  • No misleading post titles: When submitting, please keep title relevant to your post's content.
  • No Spam: No spam posts or shitposts are permitted. URL shorteners are also not permitted.
  • Verified Wix Partner Flair is restricted to Creator Partners & Staff. Read description to request:: If you are a Creator level Wix Partner, submit a modmail with a screenshot of proof of status attached. If we are able to verify your status, you will be granted the flair upon request. Making fraudulent flair requests will result in a permaban.
  • Do not impersonate or harass Wix Staff: Do not impersonate or harass official Wix staff members in any way, shape, or form. Official Wix staff are designated with the "Official Wix Staff" user flair; any user claiming to work for Wix who does not have this flair should be reported. The current staff members who are a part of the subreddit are here for Developer Relations; they should not be harassed with billing or customer support issues.
  • No crossposts from unmoderated subreddits: While we prefer posts to be made directly on r/Wix, crossposts are permitted as long as the post follows our rules and the subreddit is actively moderated.

Works well

  • A troubleshooting post that shares your site link and asks for help with a specific broken element
  • A plain text walkthrough of how you solved a tricky Wix Studio layout or Editor X problem
  • A question about a new Wix feature and how it compares to the old way of doing things
  • A helpful comment answering another member's build question in detail, with no link attached
  • A crosspost from an actively moderated subreddit that stays on topic for Wix users
  • An honest question about whether a Wix plan or feature fits a use case you are working on

Avoid

  • Posting an ad for your design services or asking members to hire you
  • Dropping a link to your finished site just to show it off or pull in visitors
  • Using a URL shortener to hide a long link
  • Writing a title that oversells or misrepresents what the post contains
  • Posting about general marketing or business topics that never touch Wix
  • Claiming to be a Wix employee without the official staff flair

What r/WIX Is For

This community is dedicated to Wix, Wix Studio, and Editor X. People come here for news, updates, and new features, and for community support when something on their site is not working. The rules say every post must be directly related to Wix or its products, so the room is full of people building and maintaining sites on these platforms. That makes it a natural home for founders and marketers whose products or questions touch the Wix ecosystem, as long as they show up to help rather than to sell.

Rules That Matter Before Posting

Four rules decide whether a marketing-adjacent post survives here. “No Advertising” bans posts or comments that sell design or related services, posts looking to hire paid services from members, and posts that direct people to visit a site you built unless it is for reasonable troubleshooting. “All posts must be directly related to Wix.” removes anything that is only vaguely related, so a general marketing post with a Wix mention will not cut it. “No Spam” bans spam posts, shitposts, and URL shorteners. “No misleading post titles” requires your title to match the actual content of your post. Two more rules matter if you are building a name in the community. “Verified Wix Partner Flair is restricted to Creator Partners & Staff. Read description to request:” governs who can hold that flair, and making a fraudulent flair request earns a permaban. “Do not impersonate or harass Wix Staff” protects the staff members who are there for developer relations, and they should not be hit with billing or customer support issues.

What To Post

A good post here solves a real Wix problem or shares something genuinely useful about Wix, Wix Studio, or Editor X. If you built something on Wix, you can share the link only when you need reasonable troubleshooting, so frame it as a specific question about what is broken or behaving oddly. Write a title that honestly describes the content, because misleading titles get removed. If you are doing respectful marketing, the play is to answer other people's Wix questions in the comments, share what you learned while building on the platform, and keep any link out of the post unless you genuinely need help with that page. Crossposts are allowed if the original subreddit is actively moderated and the post follows the rules here.

What To Avoid

Do not advertise. That means no selling design or related services at a cost, no posts hunting for paid services from members, and no dropping a link to your published site just to get visits. The only exception is sharing your site for reasonable troubleshooting. Do not post anything that is not directly about Wix, Wix Studio, or Editor X, because vaguely related posts get removed. Do not use URL shorteners and do not post spam or shitposts. Do not write a title that oversells or misrepresents the post. Do not be rude, harassing, or inflammatory. Do not claim to work for Wix without the official staff flair, and do not harass the staff who are there, or burden them with billing and customer support problems. Finally, do not request the verified partner flair unless you can prove Creator level status, because a fraudulent request means a permanent ban.

Common questions about r/WIX

Can I share my Wix site here to get feedback or traffic?

Only for reasonable troubleshooting. The first rule says posts that direct users to visit a published site you created are not permitted unless you need help fixing something.

Can I offer my design services or look for a freelancer here?

No. The rules ban posts that discuss selling design or related services at a cost, and posts looking to hire paid services from community members.

Are URL shorteners allowed if the link is relevant?

No. Rule five bans spam posts and URL shorteners specifically, so always paste the full link.

Can I crosspost from another subreddit?

Yes, as long as the original subreddit is actively moderated and the post follows all the r/Wix rules.

Can I post about general website marketing if my site runs on Wix?

No. The description limits the community to Wix, Wix Studio, and Editor X, and rule two removes posts that are only vaguely related.
