How to buy a Reddit account on G2G, and what to check

What G2G's Reddit account listings show today, what to check before you pay, the risks, and why buying any Reddit account breaks Reddit's rules.

By Anthony Riera · Published October 27, 2026

Reddit's User Agreement says you will not license, sell or transfer your account without Reddit's prior written approval. That applies to every account on G2G.

On 27 October 2026, G2G's Reddit accounts page showed 464 offers from 74 sellers.

Here is what is on that page, what to check before you pay, and why I still say warm up your own, in 4 parts, with 3 things you can copy.

Save this. Read it before you press Buy Now.

Short answer

G2G is a marketplace where third-party sellers list Reddit accounts by age or karma. You pick an offer, pay, and the seller sends the login, while G2G holds the payment until you confirm delivery. Before you pay, ask for the username, read the profile logged out, and ask whether the original email comes with it. Buying any Reddit account breaks Reddit's User Agreement, and G2G's coverage protects the payment, not the account. I would warm up an account you own instead.

Key takeaways

  • G2G sells Reddit accounts grouped by age, karma, Premium and Gold, from many sellers per group.
  • A listing shows the seller's rating, sales, stock and delivery time. It doesn't show the account's history.
  • G2G Protection holds your payment until you confirm delivery. It can't stop Reddit acting on the account.
  • Ask about the original email. If the seller keeps it, the seller can take the account back.
  • Reddit's User Agreement doesn't allow the sale, wherever you buy.

1. What is G2G, and what Reddit accounts does it sell?

G2G calls itself a marketplace for all things gaming. Reddit accounts sit under Live Streaming and Social, next to TikTok, Discord and Instagram. When I looked on 27 October 2026, the Reddit section had two sub-categories, Accounts and Platform Engagement, and the accounts page showed 464 offers from 74 sellers.

The accounts are grouped by what the seller promises:

  • Old accounts, by the year they were made.
  • Blank accounts, with nothing on them.
  • Karma accounts, in steps from 50+ up to 15,000+.
  • Reddit Premium and Reddit Gold accounts.
  • Accounts with collectible avatars.

Each group shows how many have sold. The karma 1,000+ group showed 6,466 sold that day, and the karma 100+ group 6,199. The trending searches on the page were karma, old and a few karma numbers.

G2G's own copy for the category pitches these accounts to marketers, for promotion that looks more organic. That is the kind of thing Reddit's Content Policy and subreddits' self-promotion rules are written to catch.

If you want the general case first, how to buy a Reddit account and what can go wrong covers what any seller hides. This post is about G2G's pages.

2. How do G2G seller listings work?

Each product group, like karma 100+, opens a page with one featured offer and a list of other sellers. Every offer shows a seller level, a rating, how many it has sold, how many it has in stock, a delivery time and a free text description. You pick one, press Buy Now, pay, and the seller delivers the login.

The karma 100+ group had the featured seller and 45 others when I looked. On the first page, delivery times ranged from instant to a few hours, and most said ten minutes.

Two details on that page stood out.

The first was stock. Several sellers listed thousands of accounts in stock, and a few listed stock in the millions. Nobody warms up millions of accounts by hand.

The second was the featured description. It said the accounts were registered from US, UK or EU IP addresses, sold for chat, posting and promotions, and delivered as a username, a password and an IP address in one line. It listed post karma. The part I could see didn't mention an email.

G2G Protection sits on top. The offer page said the payment is released only after you confirm, with 14 days of coverage from delivery. The category page described a 72-hour protection period. Read the terms on the order you actually place.

Here is what an offer tells you and what it leaves out. Copy it.

What the offer showsWhat it doesn't tell you
Seller rating and salesWhether this account was flagged or banned
Stock and delivery timeWhether the same account was sold before
Karma level in the titleWhere the karma came from
Registration regionWhose email is on the account
G2G ProtectionWhether Reddit will let the account keep posting

3. What should you check before you pay on G2G?

Ask for the username and read the profile in a private window before you pay. Ask whether the original email is included and whether you can change it. Look at where the karma came from. Then, after delivery, log in, change the password and check the profile again before you confirm, because confirming releases the seller's payment.

Here is the checklist. Copy it.

Before you pay:

  1. Ask the seller for the username in G2G's chat. No username, no deal.
  2. Open the profile in a private window. If it is missing, the account may be shadowbanned. The shadowban checks take a few minutes.
  3. Read the post and comment history. Look for karma trading subreddits and anything you wouldn't sign.
  4. Ask whether the original email comes with the account, and whether you can switch it to yours.
  5. Treat a stock count in the thousands as a sign of mass-made accounts.

After delivery, before you confirm:

  1. Log in and change the password.
  2. Change the email to one you own, and verify it.
  3. Turn on two-factor authentication.
  4. Check the inbox for ban notices.
  5. Open the profile logged out once more.

Step 4 of the first list matters most. Reddit's locked account page says an account is unlocked through a password reset sent to its email. Its hacked account page says that when an email is changed, the original address gets a message explaining how to change it back. So a seller who keeps the original email keeps a way back in.

4. What can go wrong after you buy a Reddit account on G2G?

The seller can recover the account through the original email. Reddit can lock it after an odd sign-in, and the unlock goes to that email. The karma can vanish if it came from vote trading. Mods can read a stranger's history and remove your posts. And Reddit can act on the account for the sale itself. G2G's coverage only helps inside its window.

Most of these can happen after the coverage ends. A seller who reclaims an account on day 20 is outside a 14-day window.

The karma is the next risk. Karma from trading votes is vote manipulation, and a listing can't tell you whether that is where the karma came from.

Then there are the mods. Reddit's profile settings page says that when you post in a subreddit, its mods can see your full history for 28 days, even what you hid. An account with years of someone else's posts and a sudden product mention is easy to read.

If you bought the account to get around a ban on another one, that is ban evasion, and it can pull your other accounts in.

None of this is G2G's fault exactly. A marketplace can protect a payment. It can't make Reddit accept an account that Reddit's rules say can't change hands.

That is why I built Rankhog the other way. Rankhog warms up accounts you own, slowly, in your own browser.

If you already bought one, how to warm up a Reddit account bought on G2G has the day-one checks and a 21-day plan. Run the account through the free Reddit karma checker too, to see which published minimums it clears. Karma farming vs warming up your account explains why the fast route costs more than it looks.

What I don't know yet

  • G2G's numbers change daily. The 464 offers and 74 sellers are from one look on 27 October 2026.
  • I don't know how G2G checks sellers, or what its coverage pays out for a Reddit account reclaimed inside the window.
  • I don't know how many accounts bought on G2G get banned, or how fast. Neither G2G nor Reddit publishes it.

Who this is not for

If you are only curious what these accounts cost, the category page shows it. You don't need a guide for that.

If you need an account that will post for your company for years, buy nothing. Make one and warm it up.

What to do next

Today, in this order:

  1. Read the User Agreement line at the top once more.
  2. If you still want to buy, ask the seller for the username before you pay.
  3. Read the profile logged out and the full history.
  4. After delivery, change the password, email and two-factor login before you confirm.
  5. Warm the account up slowly, as if it were new.

Read. Ask. Check. Secure. Warm up.

Thanks for reading. If you would rather own the account from day one, that is the job I built Rankhog for. Rankhog warms up accounts you own, slowly, in your own browser.

Common questions

Is G2G legit for Reddit accounts?

G2G is a real marketplace with a payment hold and buyer coverage, and the sellers on it are third parties. The bigger problem isn't G2G. Reddit's User Agreement doesn't allow the sale, so no marketplace can make the account safe on Reddit's side.

Does G2G Protection cover a Reddit account that gets banned?

G2G Protection is about the purchase: the payment waits until you confirm delivery, and the offer page I looked at listed 14 days of coverage from delivery. Read the terms for your order. A ban or a reclaim that comes after the window closes is your problem.

Can I ask a G2G seller for the username before I pay?

You can ask. G2G lets you message sellers through its chat. If a seller won't share the username, you can't check the profile, and I would walk away.

Are the Reddit Premium and Gold accounts on G2G different?

They are listed as their own product groups. The same User Agreement line covers them, and the same checks apply. Premium doesn't help with Reddit's spam filter for new accounts either, according to Reddit's help center.
