Rule summary

  • Don't be a jerk, racist, or keyboard warrior violence.: Attack the argument, not the commenter. Don't be a jerk, racist, white knight or keyboard warrior. This isn't 4chan.
  • Content must be Baton Rouge related.: Your content has to DIRECTLY have something to do with Baton Rouge.
  • No Witch Hunting, Doxxing, Giving Contact Info.: No witch hunting. Any problems you have with people should have strong evidence and, if possible, a solution to the problem. If you do not follow this rule, your post will be removed. Furthermore, if you have a problem with a moderator, use [modmail](http://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=%23batonrouge) first. We'd like to keep this community as free of internal drama as possible.
  • Don't sensationalize headlines.: When posting news articles, don't change the title of the article to match a bias. Unless there isn't a headline, leave the default headline when posting the URL.
  • No Low Effort or Thirst Trap posts.: Content must have substance and not be low effort. Especially when trying to be the first to post a news article. Also, no lame posts regarding hookups. There are apps and other subreddits for that.
  • No Threads with Classifieds.: No Classifieds outside the monthly thread. If you want to buy/sell/trade something it MUST be posted in the Monthly Marketplace thread. This includes pet related posts, garage or estate sales and ISO posts, as well as Looking for Roommate posts.
  • Follow the reddiquette.: Follow the [reddiquette](https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/205926439-Reddiquette). Which are basically sites rules you agree to follow at all times.
