- No spam/unrelated content.: All posts must be directly connected to AMV (Anime Music Videos), AMV community or the subreddit. Only 2 posts per 24 hours and 2 self-promotional posts per 7 days are allowed.
- No AMVs shorter than 1 minute: All AMVs posted on the main page has to be longer than 1 minute. To share a shorter video, please go over to r/edits!
- No videos with hard subs/watermarks etc.: All AMVs made from footage that contains hardcoded subtitles, logos, watermarks or otherwise distracting text will be deleted.

- No AMVs from 1 or 2 scenes: All AMVs that are made using only one or two scenes from the anime will be deleted. You can use Feedback MEGAthread (link on the sidebar) to post such videos.

- A full length AMV, longer than one minute, edited from anime or manga footage, titled as Editor - AMV Title, and shared as a genuine contribution to the community.
- A post in the Feedback Megathread where you share a one or two scene video and ask for honest editing feedback, which follows the rule and builds goodwill.
- A question or discussion post about AMV editing techniques, sources, or contests, as long as it is directly connected to the AMV community.
- A self-promotional AMV post that stays within the two posts per seven days limit, uses the proper title format, and avoids watermarked or subtitled footage.
