- No advertising.: Please do not post anything that could be considered an advertisement. See [FAQ page](https://www.reddit.com/r/Marijuana/wiki/index) for more information regarding this rule.
- No drug test posts.: Posts about how to pass a drug test are disallowed. See /r/drugtesthelp or /r/Drugtests instead.
- No image posts.: This includes memes, weedporn, and other types of image posts. There are other subs such as /r/trees, /r/weed, /r/weedporn for that.
- No video posts.: An exception is allowed if submitted as a text post along with some commentary about the video, however. Please do not post content from your youtube channel.
- Don't try to buy or sell weed here.: It's spam that could also get us in trouble with the administrators. You will be banned immediately. Do not inquire about sites to buy weed/THC from either.
- No editorialized or misleading titles.: Link submissions should be titled using the article's title and/or text from the article. Link submissions with editorialized and/or misleading titles are subject to removal.
- No asking how to bring vapes/gummies/flower on planes/trains/boats/etc.: It's a totally valid question but has been asked countless times and is therefore covered in the [FAQ](https://www.reddit.com/r/Marijuana/wiki/index).

Works well
- A text post discussing a recent cannabis law reform development, with your own analysis and a link to the original news article using its exact title.
- A text post sharing a personal or industry observation about cannabinoid science, written to invite discussion rather than sell anything.
- A text post that wraps a relevant video with substantive commentary about what the video shows and why it matters to the community.
Avoid
- Posting any image directly, including memes, product photos, or what the community calls weedporn.
- Posting a video without wrapping it in a text post with your own commentary.
- Sharing a link with a title you wrote yourself instead of using the article's actual headline.
- Posting content from your YouTube channel, which the rules call out by name.
- Asking or answering questions about passing a drug test.
