Rule summary
- Be Nice: Don't put people down in posts or comments, you aren't doing anybody a service, just adding unwelcome toxicity
- No Self-Promotion Spam: If you need help with, for example, jumping technique you can link a video of you jumping you can, but you if you are asking "how the video looks" go to a cinemetography sub. Also, posts should not just be a link to your latest video on your youtube channel.
- Follow Rediquette: Read https://www.reddithelp.com/en/categories/reddit-101/reddit-basics/reddiquette BEFORE you post, and follow those rules while commenting, as well.
- Stay appropriate: In general keep it PG - 13
- Don't overuse the modmail: I rarely check it, so you probably won't get a reply for a couple of months. If i ever want help moderating, i will open up an application, but until then, don't ask. Also, i am not the god of mountain biking. If you have a question about mountain biking, ask the community, don't use modmail.
- English Only: Not only do most of the users of this sub speak english, but it is very hard to moderate in a langue that the moderator does not speak.
- Gore should be tagged as NSFW: Not everybody wants to see that.
- No Politics: This sub is about mountain bikes, and we try to keep this space as inclusive as possible. As such, please refrain from mentioning politics or making political posts, even if they are just memes. The only exception is if it is directly related to mountain biking. (i.e. there is a new law or policy directly effecting mountain bikers or trails)

- A text post asking for advice on a specific trail or bike accessory, written as a real rider with a real question.
- A video of your own jump where you ask the community to critique your technique, which the No Self-Promotion Spam rule explicitly allows.
- A comment on someone's gear question where you share what worked for you and only mention your product if it directly answers their need.
- A post about a new trail policy or access law, since the No Politics rule allows that exception.
Avoid
- Posting a link to your latest YouTube video with no context, since the rule named No Self-Promotion Spam calls that out directly.
