r/NewTubers is a community for small YouTube video creators and Twitch streamers who want to improve their channels. The description says it exists to help up and coming channels improve with resources, critiques, and cooperation among peers. It is a place to learn how to start, build, and sustain a content career. The rules make clear that it is a discussion first community, not a place to dump your videos and leave. People go there to ask questions, talk about community topics, seek collaborations, and give or receive critiques on their content.
The rules that matter most for anyone doing marketing here are "No Self Promotion", "No Advertising", "Introducing Yourself", "Milestone Threads", "No AI-written Posts", "Critique Threads", and "Flairing Your Post". To get permission you must contact the moderation team with your product and proposed post text. The "Introducing Yourself" rule blocks standalone introduction posts and sends you to the Self Introduce Saturday thread. The "Milestone Threads" rule does the same for milestone or self congratulation posts, pointing you to Motivational Monday. The "No AI-written Posts" rule bans AI written posts because the community views them as spam. The "Critique Threads" rule requires you to give meaningful feedback on at least two other people before posting your own content in Feedback Friday, and the first and second person to comment have one hour to provide feedback after posting. The "Flairing Your Post" rule says every post needs a flair, and posts that are not flaired may be removed without notice.
A good post here is a discussion question or a community topic that helps other small creators. The "Other Types of Posts" rule says you can post as many questions and community topics as you want, and you can post a Seeking Collab request if you want to collaborate with other NewTubers. You can also give a Shout Out to thank another community member. If you want feedback on your video, use the Feedback Friday megathread, but only after you have given meaningful feedback on at least two other people first, as the "Critique Threads" rule requires. If you want to introduce yourself, use the Self Introduce Saturday thread. Always assign a flair to your post so it does not get removed without notice.
