Can I share a link to my Shopify app or blog post?
No. The rules ban links of any kind, including links in descriptions, and also ban content marketing via blog articles.

This subreddit is a forum to ask or seek information regarding Shopify. Store owners discuss Shopify specific issues. The community is explicitly promotion free and the rules are enforced strictly. Your post must be specific and unique to the Shopify platform, not general ecommerce.
The rule called 'All Posts must be related to Shopify Exclusively' means your post must be about the Shopify platform itself, not general ecommerce. The rule 'No Store or App Reviews / Feedback' sends all store reviews to r/reviewmyshopify. The rule 'No Success Stories / Guides / How-To / Blogspam / AI' removes expert guides, case studies, and how I made it posts. The rule 'Soliciting, Promotion, or Direct Soliciting via DM' bans self promotion and any attempt to invite people to DM you, including offers to help even if free. The rule 'No spamming or links to external content' blocks all links including YouTube descriptions and signup links. The rule 'No AI or Suspected AI Slop' gives moderators discretion to remove anything that looks AI generated. The rule 'Account Requirements' sets a minimum account age of 30 days and a minimum of 20 comment karma and 20 post karma, and moderators will not waive this.
A good post here is a genuine question or answer about a Shopify platform feature, setting, or problem. You might ask how a specific Shopify checkout flow works, or how to handle a specific Shopify theme issue, or how a Shopify app interacts with a core platform feature. You should not link out, not promote, and not invite DMs. If you want to do respectful Reddit marketing here, you earn trust by being genuinely useful in the comments on other people's Shopify questions. Over time, people may look at your profile and find your product on their own. That is the only kind of marketing the rules allow.
Do not post anything that is not exclusively about the Shopify platform. Do not ask for store reviews or feedback, as those belong in r/reviewmyshopify. Do not post success stories, how I made it posts, expert guides, case studies, top lists, or blog content. Do not promote yourself or your services, and do not invite anyone to DM you, because the rules say that will result in a ban. Do not offer to help, even for free, and do not post looking for help. Do not share any links, including links inside a YouTube description or app signup links. Do not resell or freely offer paid themes or courses you did not create, and do not post about selling your store. Do not run dev research posts or ask for app validation, beta testing, or pain points. Do not post about 3PL. Do not post AI generated or AI suspected content. Do not post if your account is under 30 days old or if you have fewer than 20 comment karma or 20 post karma.
