- A text post sharing your own first hand experience of living or working in Spain, written by you, with a question at the end that invites stories rather than asking for help
- A thoughtful write up about Spanish culture, food, language or regional life that shows effort and gives people something to react to
- Sharing news or content that is clearly about Spain, with your own honest take so it starts a discussion
- A message to the moderators asking permission before you post anything promotional, transparent about who you are and what you want to share
Avoid
- Asking any kind of question to the community, because questions get moved to AskSpain or GoingToSpain
- Posting about Spanish politics, because that belongs in SpainPolitics

The description says it plainly, it is a place to discuss topics related to Spain and Spanish culture, and the rules make it clear the room is for discussion threads, not questions. Questions have their own homes in AskSpain and GoingToSpain, and politics has its own home too. The people posting here are people who live in Spain, follow Spanish news and culture, or care deeply about the country, and they expect posts that open a real conversation.
Rules That Matter Before Posting
Rule “No Spam o contenido generado por Inteligencia Artificial.” is the big one for any founder. It says petitions, surveys, advertising and promotion must be approved by the moderators before you publish, and it treats artificial intelligence content as spam too. Rule “No hilos de poco esfuerzo” means a lazy post gets deleted, so whatever you share needs real effort behind it. Rule “Publicar contenido relacionado con España” says your content must relate to Spain in some way, and generic content goes to r/es. Rule “Las preguntas van en /r/AskSpain o r/GoingToSpain” sends questions elsewhere, so a post framed as a question will probably be removed here. Rule “La política va en r/SpainPolitics” keeps politics out, which matters if your product touches political topics. Rule “No ataques a otros usuarios” and rule “No toleramos la discriminación, la intoleracia o la apología de la violencia” set the tone, and rule “No teorías conspiranoicas, desinformación, trolling o astroturfing” is worth naming because astroturfing is banned by name, so fake grassroots promotion is out.
What To Post
A good post here is a discussion starter with real effort behind it and a clear Spain connection. If you are a founder, the honest path is to share something you actually experienced in Spain, like a story about building or working there, written in your own words, framed so people can reply with their own views. If you want to share anything promotional, a survey, or a petition, you must get moderator approval first, so send a message and wait for a yes. Keep it non political, keep it about Spain specifically, and write it yourself with no artificial intelligence help.
What To Avoid
Posts get removed here for quite a few reasons. Asking a question gets it moved, because questions belong in AskSpain or GoingToSpain. Political topics get removed because they belong in SpainPolitics. Promotion, surveys, petitions and advertising without moderator approval are treated as spam and removed. Content made by artificial intelligence is also treated as spam. Low effort threads can be deleted because the moderators keep quality standards. Content with no connection to Spain gets removed and belongs in r/es instead. Beyond removals, you can get banned for attacking other users, for discrimination of any kind, for glorifying dictatorships or Nazism, and for spreading conspiracy theories or disinformation. Astroturfing is explicitly named in the rules, so pretending to be an ordinary user while secretly promoting is a serious risk here.
