- No “add me” posts: Please no “add me” or “join my group” posts, this sub is for sharing news and solving problems or questions you might have.
- No invite links: No posts or comments asking for people to join your group or channel through a link or code.
- No third party apps: No linking to third party apps like "WhatsApp hack" style apps. No linking to apps which violate other users privacy (e.g. online status tracker apps). Sticker apps are ok, as long as the sticker apps aren't malicious apps.
- No "unban me" (etc) requests: Mods are not official representatives of WhatsApp and cannot take actions on behalf of WhatsApp. As a result, any post which requires an action to be taken by WhatsApp itself towards a specific account is not allowed. Discussions about WhatsApp policies in general are still allowed.
- No spam, scams, trends, or unrelated nonsense: This subreddit is for discussion about WhatsApp, including general questions, updates, and support. Unrelated posts or comments, and any spam, scams, or trends will be removed and at the moderators' discretion and may lead to a ban with no warning.
- No posts eroding the privacy of others: No posts trying to share or solicit methods for exposing the privacy of others. E.g. "how do I know if I've been blocked".
- No posts about recovering deleted messages/chats/history: If you don't have a backup and delete something from WhatsApp it's not possible to recover it. Anyone posting this can't be helped, and it invites scammers to this community who pretend they can help.
