Can I share a link to my own blog post about the markets?
No. The “No Self Promotion” rule counts driving traffic to your website as self promotion, and it may result in a permanent ban.

This is a community for active traders and investors who want short and mid term trade ideas, market analysis, and commentary. The public description says posts about equities, options, forex, futures, analyst upgrades and downgrades, technical analysis, fundamental analysis, and the stock market in general are all welcome. So the room is filled with people who watch the markets daily and want real analysis, not noise. It is also a place beginners show up, which is why the rules point new people to search first and use the Daily Discussion Thread. If your work touches markets, trading, or investing, this is your room. If your product has nothing to do with any of that, this is not your room.
The rule that decides everything for a marketer is “No Self Promotion”. It defines self promotion as any content you could personally or indirectly benefit from, including promoting your website, app, Discord, YouTube, or social accounts, selling services or educational content, and posting referral or sign up links. The rule says self promotion may result in a permanent ban. Right behind it is “No Spam”, which warns that if you have to ask is this spam, it is spam, and it covers low effort posts, copying the same post across multiple subs, and posting the same thing repeatedly. “No Low Effort Posts” matters a lot here too, because links and images need commentary, posting positions or profit and loss without market or risk commentary counts as low effort, and any post with large amounts of generated AI text is considered low effort. “No Pump & Dumps/Low Volume Stocks” bans content about low volume stocks under 500k average daily volume, OTC stocks, penny stocks under five dollars, and microcaps under 200 million market cap, and it bans pushing any personal agenda. “Stay on-topic to Stock Market” keeps the room focused, and “Belongs in Portfolio Thread” pushes portfolio reviews into the stickied quarterly thread. “Memes only on weekends” and “Flair Meme Posts!” control the joke posts. “Absolutely NO Harassment” has zero tolerance and a permanent ban for violators.
For a founder doing respectful Reddit marketing, the honest answer is that this community rewards substance and punishes anything that smells like a funnel. A good post here is a genuine piece of market analysis or commentary that stands on its own, with no link back to your site, no mention of your product, and no ask. If you trade or follow the markets, share a well reasoned take on a liquid stock, a sector move, or a macro event, and write the full analysis in the post itself. If you are new, use the Daily Discussion Thread for beginner questions instead of making a standalone post, and search before you post so you do not repeat something already covered. Your goal here is not to convert anyone. It is to be a useful participant, because any whiff of self benefit is treated as self promotion and can end in a permanent ban.
The fastest way out of this community is promoting anything. “No Self Promotion” covers Discord servers, YouTube channels, websites, apps, trading services, referral links, and beta requests, and it may result in a permanent ban. “No Spam” is blunt about it, if you have to ask is this spam, it is spam, and that includes low effort posts, cross posting the same content to multiple subs, and repeat posting. “No Low Effort Posts” means an image or link with no commentary gets removed, posting your positions or profit and loss without market or risk commentary gets removed, and large amounts of generated AI text counts as low effort. “No Pump & Dumps/Low Volume Stocks” bans content about stocks under 500k average daily volume, OTC stocks, penny stocks under five dollars, and microcaps under 200 million market cap, along with any attempt to push a personal trading agenda. Memes are only allowed on weekends under “Memes only on weekends” and must be flaired under “Flair Meme Posts!”. Portfolio reviews belong in the quarterly thread under “Belongs in Portfolio Thread”, simple beginner questions belong in the Daily Discussion Thread, and “Stay on-topic to Stock Market” means anything political that does not contribute respectfully gets removed. Finally, “Absolutely NO Harassment” has zero tolerance, so argue ideas, never people.

Only in the stickied quarterly portfolio thread. “Belongs in Portfolio Thread” says those posts should go there, and simple beginner questions belong in the Daily Discussion Thread.
