Rule summary
- No sales or referrals, advertisment: Don't post your discord or social media (including youtube) as these can often be breeding grounds for unsavory pump and dumps and schemes (WSB discord had a lot of problems with this). Don't promote a broker with a referral link. Feel free to PM users if they ask for suggestions, but don't post referral links in comments or posts.
- Be civil: Treat others as you would want to be treated. Pretty basic. No racism, no homophobia, etc.
- No social media spam: Don't spam discords, paid services, or other social medias (including youtube, twitter, etc.)
- No screenshots without context: Account screenshots must include positions and trades in the comments. Screenshots without context are going to be removed, users might receive a temp ban.
- No self-promotion, subvert advertisement and blog spam: Not allowed: Promoting your own website that sells stock tips or derivative tips subscriptions or paid memberships, newsletters, etc. Linking to Patreon where users can buy "memberships" or any similar schemes to disguise selling and promoting paid services, even if you link to a "free" blog post, is also not allowed on r/thetagang. Users might receive a temp ban or permanent ban for violating this rule.
- No crypto: Not allowed: any discussion involving cryptocurrency.
- Memes can be deleted if they are not funny: This is entirely at our discretion, it might get deleted without warning. Save yourself the frustration and post it somewhere else.
- Ban bet: This is on a case by case basis and since we're doing this manually, we're only occasionally doing ban bets. But if it's on, it's on, no backsies!
